Jan Selby is an EMMY© award-winning, independent director and producer of documentary films based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her first film, A Circle and Three Lines (2009), premiered at the Big Sky Documentary film festival (2010) and screened at film festivals world wide. Elgin Smith
Elgin Smith‘s credits include an Academy Award® nominee for Documentary Short Subject in 2005. He began his career at the award-winning PBS series American Masters, and collaborated for several years with director Oren Jacoby at Storyville Films. His work has shown theatrically, at international film festivals, and been broadcast nationally. He has worked on commissioned films for clients ranging from the Tribeca Film Festival to the Philadelphia Orchestra. A native of Montana and a graduate of the University of Montana, he lives with his wife in Missoula after having lived in Brooklyn, NY, for 10 years.

Jason Burlage
Jason was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and raised in a small town in southeast Idaho. He studied film in the Media and Theatre Arts program at Montana State University where his student film Elvis Lives won the school’s Galusha Award for Special Merit. Jason worked for three summers in Peru organizing and overseeing community service projects in small communities around Cuzco. Jason is also a documentary filmmaker: to learn more, visit Mi Chacra.

Andy Awes
Andy Awes has been working as a director, producer and editor for more than ten years and recently directed two feature-length documentary specials for the History Channel, Who Really Discovered America? and Holy Grail in America. In addition, he continues to direct and edit national commercials and marketing campaigns for companies such as Best Buy and Porsche. He had edited numerous independent films including Across the Hall as well as the Emmy-winning television show DragonflyTV for PBS and the Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives.

Timothy Vatterott
Hailing from Saint Louis, composer and songwriter Timothy Vatterott moved to Los Angeles to start a family and to further a career in music.With a Bachelor of Music from Webster University, Vatterott’s background lies in composition, performance, and group improvisation. His work reflects an understanding of numerous musical forms and styles and is characterized by an attention to melody, mood and to the inner workings of song.Recent projects include music for the trailer and feature documentary Dive! – a unique look at dumpster diving and food waste in America.
Oscar hails from the White Sox part of Chicago. He attended Loyola University, where he received his B.A. in communication. His creative influences include mid-century modern design, the Beatles with a splash of ’80′s Brit Pop and ESPN commercials. He works at Pixel Farm in Minneapolis.
Sound Designer
Jesse Marks
Jesse received his degree in music production from Musictech College. In addition to playing guitar, piano and accordion. jesse has worked for many musicians. When Jesse isn’t making music, you can find him traveling to exotic places like Spain, Italy, Hawaii, or Peru, collecting sounds and learning new languages. Jesse works his mixing magic at Pixel Farm in Minneapolis.

Amira Cohen
Amira has been working for Quiet Island Films for a year. She was the marketing assistant on A Circle and Three Lines. She has worked at a Production Assistant on 9 Pieces of Peace, as well as for corporate and non-profit videos. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Communication and currently lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Kevin McKeever is a freelance director of photography and editor based in Minneapolis. He has worked on dozens of documentaries, with subjects ranging from a murder scandal and domestic violence to historical and political documentaries for cable channels. Sally has been involved in graphic arts for more than 25 years, working for ad agencies and corporate clients. She enjoys independent films and is pleased to be part of the 9 Pieces of Peace teams. Sally currently lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Dan Satorius (Satorius Law Firm, PLLC) has represented clients in independent film and television including Academy Award, Emmy Award, Peabody Award, Independent Spirit, and Sundance award winners.
